  • A Quiet Pause, A New Chapter

    It’s been a while.

    I hadn’t planned to step away for so long, but as life often reminds us, sometimes we need to go quiet for a while to truly listen—both to the world around us and the one within. I’ve missed this space, and I’ve missed you.

    The past months have been a mix of introspection, stillness, and yes—writing. Not the kind of writing that ends up neatly formatted in a blog post, but the raw, messy, soul-deep kind that slowly becomes a book. Or maybe more than one….

    There’s something sacred about stepping away from the noise, away from constant updates and quick captions, to create something that asks more of me. Something that requires time, heart, and a lot of patience. Writing a book is less like building a house and more like growing a garden—you plant seeds, wait, prune, water, doubt, replant—and eventually, you begin to see what it’s becoming.

    So, where have I been? In short: I’ve been writing. And wrestling. And rewriting. I’ve been letting stories stretch and settle. I’ve been exploring themes that scare me, excite me, and leave me with more questions than answers. I’ve been learning how to trust the slow process of creating something meaningful.

    I won’t pretend it’s been easy. But it’s been necessary.

    And now, I’m slowly returning—with new words to share, new lessons learned, and a deeper gratitude for the time it takes to make something honest.

    If you’re still here, thank you. Truly. Your presence means more than I can say. I look forward to opening this space back up—sharing parts of this journey, inviting your thoughts, and reconnecting over the things that move us.

  • Vulnerability is a Super Power

    I talk a lot about learning that my vulnerability is a super power over the past five years. One thing I still get hung up on is when/how to be vulnerable at work.

    According to Culture Works HR, 60% of Americans struggle to maintain a healthy balance between their professional and personal lives.

    Quora says that vulnerability is natural and should be embedded within any company’s culture. “It creates trust and promotes acceptance and empathy when giving and receiving feedback. It also helps with effective problem solving and decision making.”

    According to Toner Buzz, 85% of companies that offer work-life balance programs report an increase in productivity, while 33% of employees with a good balance say they plan to stay longer in their current role.

    The fear of making connections and being vulnerable can stem from various sources, such as past traumatic experiences, fear of rejection or abandonment, low self esteem, or a lack of trust in others. This is true whether in your personal or professional life.

    So how can you change that?
    -Focus on building self awareness;
    -Practice active listening;
    -Share your thoughts and feelings appropriately;

    Do you have a difficult time being vulnerable? Try a few of these to help get you started.

  • Do you have imposter syndrome?

    Do you ever have imposter syndrome? If you have, you know exactly what I’m talking about. That voice telling you that you can’t do something, or you’re not good enough or smart enough, or that what you’re speaking about you have no knowledge of. Don’t listen to that voice…

    • You are good enough!
    • You are smart enough!
    • You are capable enough!
    • You are knowledgeable enough!
    • You are enough!

    Walk into a room like you are meant to be there because you are. Speak up in instances where you have something to say because you do. Don’t listen to all of the background noise.

  • Keeping Your Glass Half Full

    Do you ever find yourself in the company of other people that are never satisfied or they complain about everything. Those people are “Glass Half Empty” kind of people. Nothing is ever good enough and their attitude tends to be more negative than positive. Don’t let those “Negative Nancy’s ” get you down. You have the innate ability inside of you to make a choice to see things with “Glass Half Full” eyes. If you are falling into that negative category, it is not too late to pull yourself out of it. Get that positive mindset that no matter what is going on in your life, you are going to find the silver lining. Find at least one positive thing about any situation and go from there. Each positive moment will build on itself, and pretty soon you will find that being positive becomes more natural. I challenge you today to “Be the Change you Wish to See in the World”(Mahatma Gandhi).
