    Don’t be in such a rush for everything! What is meant for you will get to you in the exact moment it is suppose to, and not a moment sooner. The end result may not be in your favor if you rush through something, so TAKE YOUR TIME! #takeyourtime #righttime #wait

  • Hurry Up and Wait

    We’ve all heard the phrase “hurry up and wait.” It’s one of those sayings that feels both humorous and painfully true. You’re told to rush — to get ready, to move, to respond — only to find yourself waiting once you’ve done your part. Waiting for others. Waiting for answers. Waiting for life to catch up with the effort you’ve already given.

    It happens everywhere — in careers, relationships, creative pursuits, and personal growth. We hustle to be prepared, to show up, to be ready for what’s next. And then… silence. Stillness. A pause we didn’t plan for.

    At first, it can feel unfair. We did the work, we followed the steps, we met the deadline — so why are we sitting here in the in-between? But maybe “hurry up and wait” isn’t punishment. Maybe it’s a reminder.

    Life moves in cycles — of doing, and of becoming. The “hurry up” seasons stretch us to act, to rise, to prepare. But the “wait” seasons ask something deeper of us: patience, faith, trust. They remind us that no matter how fast we move, timing is something we can’t control.

    Waiting can feel empty, but it’s often where the unseen work happens — the healing, the maturing, the aligning. What looks like stillness on the surface is often the quiet preparation for what’s next.

    So the next time you find yourself in that space — having done all you can, sitting in uncertainty, feeling the tension between readiness and rest — remember: not every pause is a setback. Sometimes it’s just life whispering, “You’re right on time.”

  • Let This Be the Season You Choose Yourself

    You were never meant to live in anxiety and walk on eggshells;
    You were never meant to have to beg to be chosen or made a priority;
    You were never meant to carry the emotional weight of every room you walk into and every person you meet;
    And you definitely were never meant to be required to earn love, earn rest, earn being treated well.

    Let this be the season of life where softness becomes your normal and you learn to wait for exactly what you deserve.

    I’m here to help when you’re ready. My calendar will open in December for 2026 to book a free 30 minute discovery call. Let’s see where you are in your journey. #findingyourtruestyou #findyourself #findingyourself #beauthentic #authenticallyyou #beauthenticallyyou #beyou #resilienttx

  • Open Your Eyes!

    Do you need to remove your shades or do you simply need to open your eyes to certain things? Maybe you need to open your eyes to the beauty that is around you. But maybe you need to open your eyes to how someone may be treating you. Maybe you need to take the glasses aka blinders off. I think sometimes we choose to keep our eyes hidden for fear that we will see something that we suspected all along. A natural trauma response to avoid dealing with certain things is to simply act as though it doesn’t exist. If it doesn’t exist, it won’t be real and maybe the pain won’t be there. In order to get past the pain, sometimes we need to take the blinders off and face reality. Facing our situations head on, although likely uncomfortable, will allow us to move on past the trauma or thing you are hiding from. What do you need to open your eyes to today?

  • Stop Trying to Fill Their Shoes — Walk Your Own Path Instead

    Do you remember being a kid and slipping your tiny feet into your parents’ or grandparents’ oversized boots? Maybe you even climbed halfway into them, wobbling around the house as if you were suddenly older, stronger, or wiser. Back then, it felt fun to imitate the people we admired. We copied their steps, their gestures, even their confidence.

    Fast forward to adulthood. You land a job once held by someone who seemed like a superstar, and suddenly you hear the phrase: “You have big shoes to fill.” But do we ever actually fill someone else’s shoes? Or do we simply try, fail, adjust, and quietly carve out a new path that feels more like our own?

    I thought about this deeply as I stared at an oversized chair on my drive home the other day. A literal giant’s chair—impossible for any one person to fill. And it made me pause. How many of us are still trying to squeeze ourselves into a role, an expectation, or a legacy created by someone impossible to duplicate?

    The truth is, some “shoes” just aren’t meant to be filled by a single person. Just like that giant chair, you’d need help, support, and teamwork even to get close. Life is a group effort. We grow because of the people who guide us, correct us, support us, and sometimes even challenge us.

    So if you’ve been trying to live up to someone else’s greatness, remember this: you’re not here to be a copy. You’re here to contribute something new. Their journey was theirs. Yours is yours. Don’t be afraid to step off the path you’re trying to imitate and begin walking in your own direction—one that reflects your strengths, your story, and your style.

    Because the world doesn’t need another version of them.

    It needs the first, real, and brave version of you.

  • Wings to fly

    It is in the midst of change that we often discover wings we never knew we had. Sometimes change can feel uncomfortable at first, especially if it is not something that you initiated. Sometimes change is very necessary and you hesitate to be the one to make it. Sometimes changes happen in the normal course of life and we have a choice to make; either let that change overwhelm you or allow it to make you better. The choice is yours. Here are a few of my favorite things to remind me that God gave me wings to fly! If you need to be reminded, grab one for yourself. https://amzn.to/3woQNKQ https://amzn.to/3QyUTag
