It’s important that you hone in on the skill of trusting yourself and your gut instincts. That small voice in the back of your head that tells you not to do something. Listen to your intuition and trust that it would not misguide or mislead you. It takes practice and repetition, and seeing the proof in what happens when you don’t listen to your gut. If you are hurting, you will find healing and be able to use those painful moments to help someone else. If you are feeling lonely, have faith that God will bring the right people into your life to fill the voids. Trust the process. Trust the plan – His plan for your life. Don’t be afraid of life’s detours. None of us have a road map to life and it’s full of twists and turns. You may think you have it figured out and then a trial will come your way that will throw you off course. It’s okay. We will always have the ability to redirect our path. Give yourself a little grace.
Whether you were told negative things as a child or you experienced trauma as an adult, it takes time to flip that script and unlearn that negative mindset. A few things you can do to help: 1) Fill your home or office with words of affirmation and positive sayings. 2) Surround yourself with people that lift you up and are a positive influence. 3) Speak kind words to yourself, whether in the mirror or silently in your heart.
